I've heard the anime has a shit ton of filler, especially when you consider that the manga is monthly, there isn't enough content to adapt. I never watched or read it personally, but I remember at one point that they were having a Back to the Future arc.

Live action adaptions of anime would be easier to do if they were turned into musicals. Also reading > watching, except for Iruma-kun, and that was in part because they added musical numbers and the manga translations were dog shit.
