I'd hit agree, but this warrants more of a response. Frankly, this is the only post he's ever made that wasn't all that bad, despite reading like a press release byline.

"A bad shame" is just the kind of clunky phraseology he uses that, to me, emphasises just how stunted his grasp of the English language and ability to communicate is.

I'm also pretty sure that the fact that he's not talking about himself is being overemphasised a bit. This isn't the first time he's refrained from his usual pity party and made a respectful (relatively speaking of course) tribute to someone. I'm pretty sure he posted something very touching on the anniversary of Bob's death.
