I wonder if in her decaying, senile state, that Barb is convinced that Chris is actually making money off of up loading Mario Kart videos.

So as his world crumbles around him in an accelerated state...Chris uploads himself playing as his mother on what is undoubtedly a 50cc single race on Mario Cicuit, one of the most average courses in any Mario Kart game.
At this point, I'm pretty sure Barb just keeps Chris around for menial labor and for his tugboat. As long as he isn't getting himself arrested again, she's given up on him accomplishing anything other than helping float her remaining years.
OT, so glad Chris was able to find some time in his busy schedule of sending out orders to sit down and enjoy some vidya. I was really beginning to worry he might burn himself out, what with having to write all those addresses and seal all those envelopes. Oh! And lugging all those envelopes to the post office... back breaking work! Snark snark snark snark...
Inb4 another 10 pages of us discussing the finer merits of Chris and Mario Kart.
Given that's actually Barb's Mii...We'll have to take your word on what Chris' Mii looks like.

I may be incorrect though. After all, the two of them are becoming doppelgangers of each other in reality - why not as Miis as well.

Considering that Barb was less than supportive of Chris' attempts at finding love in the past (at one point even seemingly working to sabotage a relationship, iirc), I'd have to agree. I imagine that Chris is little more than an entry in a ledger to Barb.
At least Chris can play with children's toys and race in video games to escape his misery.
No matter how fast he tries to go, he can't outrace reality.
