Please bear with me.

Edit to double post less:

Trump is not set to address the Nation about this particular incident, or at least the 9PM slot was not for this rocket attack:

US recently moved Air defenses into the region:

And of course in the middle of all this:

Not that it actually means all that much.

Iran is severely weakened by the new coronavirus now and it's not gonna retaliate much. It's a perfect moment to strike them as much as possible in this given situation. If another couple of iranian generals will be killed by drone strikes, it'll be enough to stop them doing this shit. No, it's not an escalation.

If it's actually ISIL then the strikes will never stop.

It can be ISIL, I just forgot they exist.
Found a few coincedences:
1) the attack happened on Qasem Soleimani's birthday.
2) the 11th of March is also the day in which major iranian operation started during Iraq - Iran war.
3) The House passed a war powers resolution to limit military action against Iran, as it was mentioned above.

30 107mm rockets were launched, 18 hit the target.

Well if so perhaps this will be a return to early 2000's which from what i heard was quite frequent back then, i remember seeing a video of a multiple missile launcher hidden under a bunch of paper on a truck that starting firing at u.s positions which was from early 2000's.

Alright, a half-decent summary of events is in the article below:

I won't pretend to know if this is over or not, but I will say that Iran is really hurting right now.

There has been a massive falling out in the OPEC+ organization, and now the KSA, UAE, and Russia are ramping up oil production. Combine that with a harsh decrease in oil demand due to Coronavirus and you get a hard drop in oil prices.

(Major exchanges are hovering right above $30 a barrel, which is insanely low.)

Now, Iran has had sanctions on the sale of their oil for a while, so the had to sell it at blackmarket discount levels to nations that would buy it. Well, with above board oil being so cheap, and China hurting right now. Very few countries want to buy Iranian oil, the lifeblood of their crippled economy. The few that would consider it will demand an even lower price for this sanctionable oil.

Not an enviable position even before one takes into account the Coronavirus in the Country.

Now as to whether that will cause them to act out, or shut up, I will leave you all to decide that for yourselves.

Well, I still think a direct attack on US base is a stupid move. Houthi rebels blowing up Saudi oil industries could achieve more. Helping them by sending weapons has worked successfully, there's no reason to change tactics. Even blowing up tankers sounds more reasonable, this would be an escalation but at least oil prices will soar.
