I tried merging this with another relevant thread, but people kept reposting it in the newest one. Might as well let it have its own thread.

I think it's funny that "all-nighter" just means that you sleep through a 9-hour day and just work at night instead, apparently.
Apologies if this is off-topic, but I think it directly applies to his recent influx of sales -
eBay/PayPal reports earnings to the IRS via a 1099-K form (as of 2013, so it's really new); while it usually applies to people who have made over 200 transactions or made $20k in a year, Chris might be coming close to that 200 payments mark, and it's not unheard of for the IRS to actively pursue taxation of amounts under $20k, and a sudden income influx of at least $6k may set off some bells at the IRS, and consequently, his tugboat providers.
I'm sure that this is going to come as a huge surprise to Chris when he gets a letter from the IRS, and it's going to suck. He could write off his model magic/shipping boxes/leather straps/supplies on a Schedule C and have his taxes reduced significantly. This is one of those times I feel an earnest need to warn him that the IRS is going to show up - so get a cheap tax dude and put a few bucks aside to pay off the government, 'cause I think the guy is doing pretty good with this stuff.
I work overnight, so my sleep cycle is close to his. Generally I sleep from 10 am to 6 pm though. It can be uncomfortable depending on where you live (near a school is always hell).I still can't grasp having such a fucked up sleep schedule. More than anything else it sounds uncomfortable.
The cable installer had a tighter quote than that. His estimate was between 11:00 and 11:30.Close enough for rock and roll!
He worked at wendy's for 2 monthsIn the voice of Matthew, Kacey's father:
"Woooow....You call this hard work? I sat in the desert, fighting Saddam Hussein and this is what you call tough? You're not good enough for my daughter"
For Chris, I'm impressed, actually. This is the first time in his life he's actually worked for money for more than a week.
