I'll give him just less than a week before he starts moaning about his sweetheart-less plight again. He tends to forget or disregard the nature or reasons for his sadness from time to time, so when they start hitting him again, I doubt he'll have the perseverance to tell himself that he's perfectly capable by himself again.

The :optimistic::optimistic: in me wants to say yes, but I think we should wait this out.

He's still not convinced she's a troll, but at least he seems to be over his 1st legitimate break-up (in his mind), so that is a somewhat positive step for him.
Me thinks he's just overcompensating trying to convince himself that he's alright. If he acknowledged he was dying alone, he'd have a real meltdown.

I think we can infer from his post that people around him are already preparing him for a lonely life. The part about not defining one's self by their significant others definitely came from someone he knows..

Now whether he has a meltdown or not depends on what happens in his life down the road..
