Maybe it's because racism is a thing that happens or has happened in literally every nation in the history of the world and while unfortunate, is inherent to human society and humans in general.Well, I'm not sure, Phil, maybe it's because Ethiopia is on ANOTHER continent?!

It's something like that, yeah. There have been smaller Jewish populations scattered all over the world since the diaspora (even China has Jews!), and those populations tend to gradually assimilate with the local culture to some extent. The natural drift that you get between larger Jewish groups - Sephardim of Spain and Western Europe, Mizrahim of the Middle East, and Ashkenazim of Eastern Europe - is even more pronounced when you're introducing smaller enclaves from places like Ethiopia into the mix.Can some one who is Jewish or knows more about this than me answer this, But is the African Jewish community the Same as the African / Afro Caribbean Christian community where they have the same faith in basic terms (fluff) but the way they celebrate there faith (the crunch) isn't the same and the already established community doesn't really understand it and that's what can lead to a bit of tension?
Pardon my ignorance I just haven't met a Ethiopian jewish person.
