There's bigger problems, I know, but, in my lifetime, I'd sure like to see some federal-level law set up specifically to target the systematic corruption of collegiate athletics. The only way it will ever stop is if your shenanigans will get you time in the federal pokey instead of a fine and vacated wins......

It's fascinating reading about just how competent and thorough the investigation was. Like you said, it's not the worst thing in the world (none of these people knelt for the national anthem after all), but it does seem pretty sleazy to manipulate kids trying to build their futures like that. I do believe college athletes should be payed just for the sheer amount of revenue they generate, but obviously not that way.

I think it's time they just drop this phony fiction of the noble amateur college athlete. It's just bullshit and nothing but an excuse for gypping them out of the money they make for these crooks.

Let them just flat out hire them like any other money making worker. Just keep it all above board where the public can see it.
