My guess is they're 'supporting arrestees' by flooding the jails with losers just like them because I dunno, tax dollars? When the civil rights movement in the Us used the 'flood the jail with arrests' it worked cause they were peaceful and had lots of documented cases of abuse and oppression. Portland protests have Trump who isn't even in office. Don't even arrest them, just have cops say 'we will call your parents, we can suspend your twitter accounts' and they'll all go home.
