I disagree. As the nation with the highest rate of obesity, Americans literally take up a lot of space. Phil also fails to recognize that he is part of the problem.

Also, I personally think that one of the reasons for him staying in California is to avoid the cold winters up here in the northwest. If he were up here right now he'd be at extreme risk for hypothermia.

Phil's lifestyle is more or less feral at this point. Phil migrates for the winter, and he sometimes lives in nature preserves. Although wild animals tend to maintain better hygiene.
