Phil should get a memorial tattoo for his nutsack on his taint.
So he's more serious about booking tattoo appointments than he is booking and attending his major surgery? Stay classy, phil.

This is essentially the last nail in the coffin for why almost nobody believes Phil is actually getting his surgery. On top of the biggest reasons (his mental state, homelessness, and the logistical hurdles associated with Medicare), there's also the lack of actual detail about the surgery. When it comes to almost ANYTHING else in his life, Phil blabs details on Facebook to an audience that is increasingly composed of no one. Tattoo sessions, lunches, coffee shops, travel plans, and even his other appointments he blabs about in detail. But this? He is curiously tight-lipped. If he was ACTUALLY afraid of Kiwi boogeymen, he would be keeping all of that under wraps, but he isn't. He's only being vague about his surgery, and much like dealing with all children, when he's being very vague the odds are that he's lying.
It isn't a major reason not to believe his bullshit, but it's still compelling.
Phil's
won't get canned unless he gets incarcerated. The way things are going, Phil's probably going to die from some sort of preventable infection or disease, and best case after that is one of his parents bury Phil's ashes with dignity (though more likely, they'll go unclaimed).
The tugboat won't be sunk. Phil is a severely mentally ill man who rants about imaginary enemies and can barely walk a few feet without getting out of breath. At this point Phil's mental and physical health is damaged to the point where he cannot perform even the most simple entry level jobs. Phil will continue to eat cheese and waste money on tattoos until he shits himself and goes to the big trash heap in the sky.

It'd be fucking hilarious if that happened and honestly it should. He's neglecting basic shelter so he can afford tattoos. If he was paying rent or even splitting rent with someone they wouldn't care as much. Hell, they boost someone's monthly payment depending on how much they're contributing to stuff like that.
If someone cared enough to compile his relevant facebook updates and write a letter to SSA that they believe Phil is not capable of handling his own money they'd probably at least look at his spending history. If he's claiming to pay rent but isn't then they'll know and make him pay it back. If he's living with someone rent free and they find out? They'll lower his payment to account for that and make him pay some of it back. If all his money disappears within the first week and next to nothing is going towards basic needs (y'know, shelter), they'll know and assign him a representative payee (probably his mom since he has no friends) to decide when and how he can spend his money. For Phil that would be a living hell.
Chris is safe from that kind of shit because he's always paid his rent/bills and has a transaction history to prove it.
