It makes sense that Phil would be trying to get surgery in Berkeley of all places, since it's home of the nuttiest people in California. You would have to be a bit exceptionally unhinged to get close enough to perform surgery on that thing.

I'm quite new to following Phil so I could be extremely wide off the mark here but a good part of me believes he's not as paranoid about us as he lets on. I mean he loves attention from his enablers and he loves to feel persecuted so hyping up how scared and worried of us he feels can only help with his persecution complex.
I think and hope it's a combination of both paranoia and him loving to feel persecuted though, it's a great thought to imagine him shooting himself in the foot by rambling to doctors about a bunch of Kiwis dead set on him not changing his gender.

No, he really does believe the Farms are actually a super secret association of trolls whose sole purpose is to completely destroy his life...more than he already has left it in a smoking, smelly, shit-covered ruin.
