Wasn't Phil already denied a re-fi around December? When he was desperately begging his viewers to tip him so he could show his income was going up year over year.
That was in mid to late 2018. I did some snooping in pigpiggo; apparently he's been trying to refinance for years because he knows he has equity in it and wants it, and he has mentioned it sporadically since 2016. In May of 2019 he was playing Minecraft (visually indistinguishable from this year's gameplay) and describing his plans for the future: in 2 years he was hoping to pay off two loans that were costing $1,000+ per month and finally get his refi.
This November 2018 vlog is where he describes how he needs an income spike (timestamp 43:52):

I could easily see him deciding this was easy, though, and just running up enough additional debt that he gets to declare bankruptcy again as often as legally allowed. He could become one of those guys.
I mean why not?
Wouldn't that the be rational thing to do if you were DSP?
Once you have won your first rodeo the next one is so much easier to win.

And he knows now the magic trick to get out of trouble. Have all these exceptional individuals, of which sadly I think several are from the farms, mailbomb the trustee with crazy rants and porno that would make even the timecube guy have second thoughts about his sanity.

Phil's an example of losing at everything so hard that it loops back around and you win.
That one PUBG clip where he wins by doing nothing might as well be a testament to his whole career. Everything is just so preordained for him, Disney will sooner face liquidation than he is forced to move out of that house. Or lose his level of quality of life, for that matter.

Think I'm going to collect these so we can see how much he actually had to pay each month.
But that's just taking a nugget of fax and blowing it way out of proportion dood! The truth is he did everything correct because he got the bankruptcy and you're just mad that he's having a streak of pahsitivity!

"This guy's a bitch."

I've got something fun for y'all. Did you know that in the Discover submission ("DiscoverBank2.pdf") the "censorship" is just some white squares drawn over the document, and if you have a PDF editor you can just delete the squares? Now we can see some information about Phil's credit score.

If someone has a copy of an unredacted Discover statement, they could probably figure out the missing labels on this chart.

It doesn't seem like anything can be recovered of the "squares" text to get exact figures, but I encourage others to try poking at this a bit.

The Amex files can't be decensored this way - it was mostly censored before it was run through a fax machine or whatever. There are a few "censor-bars" that can be removed but there's nothing under them.

Probably having 14 credit cards maxed out, that many open lines of credit alone is shit for your score, and depending on how close together they were opened that's two dings from both a credit check and a new line of credit. Not to mention his shoddy history with paying his CTcondo. Kids, if you want to have good credit, open 1-2 credit accounts and keep them paid off, buy a house and make sure to pay on time, and you'll hit 700+ easy.

Call me crazy, but I feel like buying a house to juice your credit score might be doing things slightly out of order.

There's only 3 things that really affect your credit score much positively. That's credit cards, loans, and mortgages. Just about any delinquent debt can hurt though. So once you establish yourself with some small 1k-2k limit credit cards, you move on to a small easily affordable home, then you really start to build a good credit profile.

The fact that Phil's debt ratio was probably something like 80 or 90+% would have dinged him as well, especially since he clearly just built the debt and then tried to kite it instead of actually paying anything down. I really hope Citibank files their claims. I would love to see when he got those lines and what his payments were. Hmm, they did file their claims (in April, actually trying to get paid), but the proof wasn't included in the documents like Discover and Amex did. Can anybody see if Citibank filed similar documents with their claims?
