Chris seems to think that sitting in the horde being crawled on by bugs causes items to appreciate in value or something.
I thought having a poor theory of mind meant you conceptualized other people's mind's as carbon copies of your own. There's no way Chris would drop a grand on a box of old used porn, where does he get the impression that others will?
He seems to think that $1000 is a fair price; he won't take a penny less. NO HAGGLE!

I don't understand how physical copies of porn survived the internet age. Why would Chris bother buying porn (let alone 56 DVDs) when all that free porn is available online? Is it cause all STRAIGHT™ men read Playboy and buy there fap material?

He's willing to trade porn for funds for a PS4 I'm reading this as. That life upgrade won't upgrade itself.

Okay seriously, that costs more than most laptops/TV's. Does Chris hold his porn at that high of value, or is he really that desperate for money he'll end up blowing on more iStuff/vidya games/happy meals?
I don't think he understands that people go on CL mostly to find stuff dirt cheap. Has he ever tried having a garage sale, perhaps?

The only way I see anyone paying for used, hard-copy porn is if they're some kind of collector, which is pretty unlikely. But I guess he's getting desperate enough for that PS4 to try anything.

Chris estimates it's worth about $1K to have three boxes of porn to him, therefore it would be also to anyone else. The issue of market dynamics doesn't enter into his theory of mind.

Considering he once again states "NO HAGGLING", he can't be all that desperate for money. Though Chris never did have a good grasp on how finances and such work.
If I had to venture a guess, his mom probably told him he needs to sell some stuff to help pay for some things, and Chris just added in the cost of a PS4 plus games so he could get what HE wanted

it's just so interesting how his collection is so middle of the road, so conservative house wife that it makes his own antics look kinky. it's like stumbling onto a really boring couple's porn stash. or the stash of teenager pre-internet.
i am in full agreement with the thought that he's trying to raise money for the ps4. with him spending pretty much every minute of the day with barb, he's emptying the spank bank to do so.
i mean chris is on the right track, but running at full speed in the completely wrong direction. people will buy his stuff. just not his used porn (unless he maybe autographed it) and definitely not $1000 at a clip. like seriously if he held an "internet yardsale", he'd make way much more selling many smaller singular items than being greedy and wanting his money NOW NOW NOW.

I always assumed he just saw other ads with "NO HAGGLE" in them and copied it. His ads are usually full of that kind of craigslist cliche. Like how he points out it's from a smoke-free home despite the fact that the point of saying that is that is supposed to be that the item was kept in a nice clean environment.
Also I just noticed this when looking over his ad again: I love how he says that people are free to look up the individual titles. It's very magnanimous of him to allow that.

Well, pornography is the base for his knowledge regarding women, both inside and out of the bedroom. So it's pretty valuable to him, monetarily and otherwise, and it was probably a hard decision to part with it.
