Y'know, it sounds like he went there on some other day, but didn't steal that day. So he's thinking that he can get his cashier, excitable black woman, to confirm that he didn't do anything that day. But fatty's dumb and doesn't realize that not stealing on one day doesn't insulate him from accusations that he stole on some different day. Though, the excitable black woman would've had to happen before his shoplifting attempt, because I can't imagine the LP guys recognizing him again and not shutting him down the next time he tried to come in.
He's been relatively quick to jump onto ANY discussion. There was a post a few months back that had him talking about some tiny comment someone posted here as a joke and everyone else had completely forgotten about. Ever sense then he's been probably on here as much as anyone else. I wonder if he reads every comment, or if he's just looking at the topics and seeing if they say anything about him in particular.
I was thinking roughly the same thing. Chris is clearly saying he was there March to pick up this game, but we all know he was playing the same exact game in February. He knows we know he has the game (hence the coupon he got to go see the movie), but he doesn't realize that we can put the two together... that he got the ticket and the game (and watched the lego movie) in Feb and this instance happened in March, meaning there is no way this "stealing in March" was really just a misunderstanding of him buying the game in February. Cuz, you know, time traveling works.
I suspect he bought the Lego Movie game and got the free Pyjama Emmet minifig and free $7.50 movie coupon (with the "excitable black woman" and everything) on February 6th, a month before getting caught shoplifting. Both the minifig and coupon were part of the same offer from Best Buy in early February, and we know he used a $7.50 coupon to see the Lego Movie on February 7th (because he told us). It would be just like Chris to try to cover for shoplifting using details of a purchase made a whole month earlier. And voluntarily giving out small details (Pyjama Emmet minifig, Lego Movie coupon) that unintentionally expose his lies is also typical for Chris.
Urmagerd, this is so completely possible... and so like Chris. He was probably never stealing the minifig, it was probably another game or some dvds or something and he's just giving us this little bit of info because he thinks it's "less bad" to be caught stealing a free with purchase minifig than it is to be caught trying to steal $50 in games/movies.
Exactly. There has been a lot of speculation that Chris tried to steal a second copy of the game, or tried to steal a second minifig, or bought a second copy to get a second minifig, or other scenarios that don't make much sense even for Chris. If Best Buy in Charlottesville operates anything like every other Best Buy I've ever been in, he would have had to legitimately purchase the game at the cash register (from an "excitable black woman") to get the minifig and the coupon, and we know he did that some time before February 7th when he used the coupon to watch the movie. When he lied about that happening on March 6th, he was most likely fudging the month but leaving the day the same, which is exactly the sort of thing Chris would do (especially if the date on the receipt was numerical like 02/06/14 - Chris may just be too lazy to count months).
Chris actively tries to pretend the decade plus since he left High School never happened. Ignoring a mere month is small potatoes compared to that.

Nah, he's not Chris' facebook friend. I think the comment rule for Chris' public posts is friend-of-a-friend. But yeah, he's kinda notorious around here. I think his comic is meant to be a serious parody (serious in the sense that he thinks he's actually being super funny) of sonichu. I don't know if it's a moot point to blur out his name or not, but I thought I'd be on the safe side. I feel really bad for this guy, because he seems nice enough, & genuinely looks up to Chris. I think he's autistic as well (so he feels some sort of kinship, maybe?), & he even has his own Sonichu spin-off comic (that Chris has likely never read). & he's the only person who actually gives good advice.
