This is just my take on things, but Tumblr is fairly well known for encouraging negative behaviour. I saw a post going around saying that if you see a blogger with Histrionic Personality Disorder, you need to give them attention right away (even though you should really do the opposite and help them recognize that they can't always be the centre of attention).
There are a lot of bloggers now that say that you have to like their posts so they know people are reading what they're saying. And Tumblr casually accepts and encourages this behaviour. And as everyone knows, Tumblr willingly encourages special snowflake behaviour as well.
As for Jay, if we just look at him from the surface (ignoring all his gross fetishes and the fact that he's probably a pedophile), you can immediately tell that he WANTS attention from people. If anything, being in a massive hugbox such as Tumblr will only encourage him further. And really, Jay is a massive special snowflake, even if it doesn't seem like it at first. He wants to be the centre of attention at all times.
But now that I think of it more, he doesn't really have the 'personality' to become the centre of attention on a website like Tumblr. So, really. Who knows what'd happen. He'd probably become even more irrelevant on Tumblr.
