A special election is winding down in the nation of Australatina, taking place in the small riding of Palo de Tadeo, one of several seats that make up the the delegation that hails from Santa Judas (formerly San Felipe). The seat opened up in early September when its deputy, Miguel Carranza, suffered a serious stroke and resigned due to health reasons.
The burrogh is a Derecha Republicana seat, but KOFO/OFOK thinks that it might be flippable with the loss of an incumbent like Carranza and their current momentum. The same thought was shared by Union Verde, who seeks to try and run on the left of both parties and hit hard on the flagrant abuses of the police force. Lastly, Derecha Republicana fronted a runner to try and keep a seat they held during the KOFO/OFOK insurgency. Communion Catolicos it seems is not choosing to contend the seat, its current leader Desiderio Grajo (@Ravenor ) has not given a reason why at this time.
There are three main contenders for this seat.
Sara Patilla, representing Derecha Republicana. A mother, revolutionary, and business owner, Patilla represents the current ideal for many Australatines, as she kept her homestead safe and helped storm the formerly named People's Hall. She was able to in the span of two years start up a small empire of grocery stores, the ever growing Patilla's brand. She states that if she keeps her seat she aims to make sure the entry for business stays low so others can enjoy her success, and that jobs can safely return into the burrogh, one that saw the heaviest fighting and damage when the 82nd Airborne dropped in.
Florencio Azarola (@flossman ), representing KOFO/OFOK. A simple public servant and revolutionary hero known for his bravery during the Taking of Santa Judas. He has kept pretty quiet about his own stances, barring his pledge to throw former dictator Delici into a radioactive pit created via the detonation of a nuclear device. This single pledge is seen as amazingly popular among the voters. He needs to take this seat to officially be seated as KOFO/OFOK's head.
Jose Puñal, representing Union Verde. An author, charity worker, and revolutionary, Jose Puñal personally survived the gulags that the POM set up for dissidents like himself. He has a strong hatred of the inept and corrupt Australatine police force, many of which were holdovers from the POM days. He decries the use of vendetta killings to settle what the police cannot, a commonality in these days. He states that voting for him means you can sleep safe in your home; not having to worry about garroting or being spirited away.
The seat is a fairly valuable one; as it falling to a different party means it will give the opposition control over the direction of Santa Judas and her three burroghs.

tl;dr vote for who gets to be the representative from this shitty town.
