Any association with John Walker Flynt publicly would absolutely destroy Wu because their recorded actions as Flynt paint the picture of a mentally unstable failure at life, who has no college degrees, managed to squander being born to insanely wealthy parents, and has a severe addiction problem.
Replace the third one with 'married a screaming asian who also sounds like a real whack job who was abusive to his last two wives' and Wu still gives off those impressions, but being a woman clearly is something Wu wanted for all their adult life.

I've known about this thing since the days of Gamergate, and yet no matter how many times it pops it's indescribably hideous mug out of it's hole in the ground, I still cannot bring myself to fully accept that it's not performance art gone awry. John Flynt is living proof that no work of fiction is too absurd, because reality is so much more fucking revolting.
None of Brianna's family wants anything to do with him or the drama he keeps throwing himself in. As funny as it would be for either his parents or his siblings to publicly tear into him, I don't think it's worth the lifetime of embarrassment that would follow being connected to Brianna Wu.
