If she ever became someone taken seriously, yes. I'm sure it would be more some sort of rival than a reporter, and you're right about the deadnaming thing. I could see a Vanity Fair piece or something like that. And given the amount of info that's already out there, it would be more verification than digging.
The problem about exposing the adoption lie is that you’d have to user the John Walker Flynt name to connect the dots, and “deadnaming” is a big nono in the mainstream media.
Maybe an intrepid reporter would say “she went by a different name but we found her birth announcement and connected it via her publicly available college attendance records” but do you really expect anyone to do that?
