So Bloomberg has filled out the papers to enter the race.

If he wins the nomination (probable, considering the rest of the field is garbage), I cannot fucking WAIT to hear how the "party of the little guy" and the wokelet crowd tries to spin the 50+ billion dollar new york jew as their guy. The amount of mental gymnastics that this election brings is going to be fucking phenomenal

Bloomberg is probably the most sane pick and aligns very close to Trump.

Bloomberg actually didn't fuck up NYC like his successor did and kept the policies in place that kept crime down. He generally wanted to be mayor so the city where his business is wasn't a shithole.
He essentially ran as an independent much like Trump and was also very pro business.
Self funded all his shit and didn't take campaign donations from special interests

He's not as bombastic which might hurt him in debates since Trump has quick wits.

2nd amendment rights as previously discussed and Bernie would be closer to Trump than him. At least Bernie can raise a crowd. And he doesn't take donations from special interests because he is the special interest.

Oh God, I forgot about what New York regulations did to AR-15's.

Also I wager that the media is going to scramble and portray bloomberg as Batman since that's the only way they can try to make him appear to be a rebel who exists outside the system.

HEY FELLOW COMMUNIST/SOCIALIST KIDS DO YOU KNOW THAT THIS BILLIONAIRE IS ACTUALLY JUST LIKE YOU?

WHAT IN THE FLYING FUCK IS THAT. WHY NOT JUST BAN ALL FUCKING AR-15S AT THIS POINT. THIS IS MUTILATION AND TORTURE. NOT EVEN THE CALI VERSION IS THIS BAD.

And you can still kill people with it anyways or do a timothy McVeigh.

On that last part, I would say fuck batman, given how much people loved joker, fuck batman, I am starting to like that commie critique of him that he is the system responsible for why Gotham is a shithole. Anyways I remember reading a theory somewhere that people's tastes have shifted from Superman in the 80s to Batman in the 2000s to now joker in the 2020s is that our country has become less morning in america and about to be more of the demolition man or deus ex.

So, Bloomberg actually is entering the race.

Is he going to run in the Democrat primary or is he going to do an independent run?

I hope to all that is holy that it's the latter and he ends up as the 2020 version of Ross Perot and Ralph Nader

EDIT-Just checked it out, turns out he's filing for a Democrat run. Makes sense, he's very much an anti-gun/pro-nanny state neoliberal type. Best guess is that he's being cajoled into running as a last-ditch effort to try and gain ground in 2020 since Kamala and Bernie are sunk, while Biden and Warren are on shaky ground at their absolute best.

The Democrat Party has no leg to stand on, if the 18 billion candidates they have are already collapsing a little over a year in. That's what happens when you base your entire campaign on getting Donald Trump out, and nothing else.

Trump all the fucking way, I'm not ashamed to say it anymore.

I feel this might shake up things in the Democrat primary, Bloomberg has enough resources and wealth to wage one hell of a campaign at his own will. Though I believe he will more likely screw one of the front runners over than win the primary himself. I don't know what he's got planned, but he better have something if he wants a chance to win; the first primaries are only three months away.

Holy fucking shit she's actually proposing that her administration would put a tax on net worth. That's so butt-fuckingly insane that I refused to believe she had any intention to actually go through with it and it was just a slip of the tongue, but she's serious. Warren, this literally can't work. You would immediately destroy the entire economy in a single tax season, you can't tax net worth. Net worth is not liquidated assets, there's no money there to even take.

Do they just not teach economics in school anymore? Is that why no one is shitting their pants over this? Like, let's say that your income right now is $50,000 a year, but you own a house, several cars, and maybe even a few stocks, a nice fishing boat, etc. It's a nice house, too, maybe $250,000 and your cars are brand new, so your net worth would sit somewhere around $300,000-$400,000. She wants to tax you based on that number even though you can't pay into that bracket, because your income is static and much, much smaller than your net worth. A single tax season would eat up your entire yearly income, and it still wouldn't be enough.

Jeff Bezos has a net worth of ~112 billion dollars. According to this calculator he'd be paying $6.679 billion fucking dollars in taxes every year. Jeff Bezos only has a base income of around $80,000 per year, and I sincerely fucking doubt that he has liquidated assets anywhere near approaching his net worth, let alone enough to throw at your exceptional individual-mode tax plan and "not feel a thing!"

"You're worth a lot of money, but it's time to hand over all of your actual money to the government so that we can spend it wisely even though we don't understand rudimentary economics or basic definitions! Don't worry, you won't even notice that we took anything!"

Get bent you Communist fuck.

Wow. That goes as far as having no basic knowledge of economics at all. Net worth is NOT the amount that someone makes a year. It's the ESTIMATED amount that their business assets are worth as well as how much they probably make. To equate this with how much money you make a year, is really fucking stupid. And no one should have to be forced to give up thaf money, billions of dollars, that can fuck over all of their businesses, considering that most of that money is probably going to inventory and shit like that.

I'd assume that not even Bernie would do something as idiotic as this.

Even though Warren would never implement a net worth tax even if she got into office, maybe the principle of it is distasteful enough for Wall Street and Silicon Valley to wholeheartedly throw their support behind Bloomberg now.

Bloomberg is being called in as a last-ditch effort by the DNC since all their other candidates have cratered horribly or are on the verge of doing so. He's officially an independent, but he supports most of the neoliberal Democrat policies and stances, so he's considered reliable and he's got a fuckton of money, which the DNC needs after Obama and Hillary both nearly bankrupted them.

After the Ukraine impeachment circus, Elizabeth Warren is the leading candidate by default for all intents and purposes and Warren is highly toxic in the eyes of the corporate bigwigs, especially Silicon Valley, who she has specifically called out on.

I think Bloomberg's entering the race for a very specific reason and I don't think it's to defeat Trump. He's likely in this to sink Warren specifically, and then he'll probably concede the nomination to Biden at the 2020 Democratic National Convention and then step behind and bankroll Biden's campaign.

This stupid cunt.

Trump isn't leaving NY because the state is mean to him. He's leaving NY because Cuomo enacted insane tax shit that is literally killing the state.

You apply that shit to the country and the game is over. Billionaires are walking and they are taking their fucking money with them. Businesses and services will collapse almost over night and while I know Warren isn't serious about this shit people who follow her are and are so fucking ignorant about economics and reality in general that they will push for this kind of insanity.

Something has to be done about the communist undercurrent in this country. It is getting to be a legitimate threat to everyone including the dullards who think it is good.

Holy fucking shit.

It's not even 2020 and the Democratic Party already has an election far more embarrassing than the shitshow that was the 2016 Republican Primary. At least that one gave us God Emperor Trump to rightfully shit on the fake news media. This election, on the other hand, had Irish Taco literally tell the country "we're taking your guns!" before he dropped out. And now, Warren, the current frontrunner for the Democratic nominee, is suggesting that the government should punish hardworking people for making too much money. Even if this suggestion has no chance in a Warren-favored Democratic Congress, the fact that she even suggested it shows that she is unfit to be president.

No wonder why Wall Street and Silicon Valley hates Warren. This is the same bitch who wants to tax lobbyists (a), which they do not want. If she gets the nomination, not only will they have helped re-elect Trump, he'll also take Maine, Minnesota, and New Hampshire with him to further humiliate the DNC with over 50% of the popular vote.

It's Trump, Biden, or Bloomberg for 2020. No one else has a shot.

A wealth tax is impossible to ever get made into a reality but it does sound good for a Democrat to have billionaires 'afraid' of her and her crazy socialist ideas, which makes it a pretty effective idea to float. No billionaire can criticize her for it without it being used by her to promote her campaign and anyone not near as wealthy complaining can have their criticisms ignored by just saying they wouldn't be affected by the tax anyway.

I'm surprised she doesn't get countered by people pointing out that these super rich people probably don't have anything forcing them to keep their wealth in the US where it could be taxed when there's a lot of other countries in the world billionaires could operate in.
