The notifications that don't pop up but that he reads suggests that Phil does get direct contributions for a number of whales, and he seems to selectively read tips from those people, like SilentBob, for instance. We don't know when that guy actually tips, and he allegedly only watches on YT. He seems to give Phil about $37/stream. But he also somehow only seems to tip when Phil has yet to meet the tip goal. I sincerely doubt this - I think he sends money every day and Phil only reads it when he wants to boost the number for the day. He also recently received a tip from a newly verified user between streams and refused to state the amount. That was likely $200 if it was the same as their refunded unverified tip. And we know he made arrangements with Jeff, clearly OiC, and openly asked to speak via email with DevilUK.

Users I've seen that haven't received popup notifications for tips today are silentbob, oneminuteman, and nocouture. After not receiving a tip for a while today, Phil checked his phone and suddenly noticed a 'bunch of tips have come in', a tip from each of those three, 37 dollars from silentbob and I believe 25 dollars from oneminuteman and I think 200 dollars from nocouture. The only other user I've seen no popup notification trigger from in the past has been The Pastriarchy, who I believe didn't tip today but I could be wrong.

I agree with your theory that these are likely direct contributions behind the scenes. I could be wrong because it was so long ago, but I think around the time PlanetJeff got spooked and left nocouture started tipping and people believed it was a sock of Jeff.

Could it be possible that someone is behind some combination of those accounts? Could one person be responsible for both silentbob's and oneminuteman's tips or even the rest as well? It would be interesting to see if there was a tipping pattern behind those four accounts.

Phil went on to acknowledge that the emails were real. He complained that trolls were taking stuff out of cahntext and told his fans to read the whole exchage to get the full story. He never posted the emails himself or told fans where to find them so I can only assume the troll emails were legit.
