I remember he said that if he didn't hit the goal, "something is just not gonna get paid, and I got to make a choice in what's it gonna be" [timestamp at 10:05].
Claiming it would be his house is on a whole different level since it'll be demonstrably false (unless he brings behind the scenes contributions to cover the lie).

You would think they would've warned Phil about their lack of funds, though. He was clearly expecting things to go well at first, and given the obvious "behind-the-scenes" shenanigans that have been going on for a year now, at least, it's a foregone conclusion that that would be why. So WTF happened? Did they all suddenly get lives for just one day? It's not unprecedented for his whales to fall asleep at the wheel, but the timing just seems really odd in this case. We'll definitely get some clues later today, for sure.

edit: Here’s the thread, it’s from 2018 and it was a 24 hr ban. also iirc (it’s a long thread) the cause was just speculation? I’ll read more in depth as the day goes on.
