Movies take too long nowadays, so I decided to start honing them down to 30 minutes while attempting to keep the plot and the feel of the movie intact. Here's my 30 Minute Movie version of Star Wars:
What do you think? Was I reasonably successful? And what movie should I turn my slicer-and-dicer on next?

I wish I could tell you, but I think FOX already killed it. :(

Does it not play for you? It's still playing for me. Or maybe I'm dreaming the whole thing....

EDIT: Don't be fooled by the black screen. I did it that way deliberately to hide what it is.

Before home video became established, collectors could purchase shortened versions/clips of movies (up to around 20min a piece, silent or sound, black/white or color) on 8mm film reels to project at home.

That's odd. I'm in the US also, and it plays here and on Youtube for me. We'll see what happens when other people try it.

@In18 -- I was aware of these films, though I didn't know they did Star Wars. They do seem to lose some of the plot elements, however.
