Unlike the previous two episodes (Ep. 74 and Ep. 75), a (relative) bevy of the requested questions have actually been posted to The King of Hate Forums.

This will balance out the assured lack of $20 “PRIORITY ACCESS” questions, as Phil’s bizarrely abandoned Patreon continues its decline (with 100 Patrons at the time of writing.)

Nah, he pre-screens everything. It's how he knew to skip the end of the face reveal video where he explicitly says to click on the ads because "the rest is boring". Only way he'd get tricked at this point is if he got too lazy and didn't screen a video completely. Certainly possible, but I think his ego would force him to make sure there's nothing that contradicts him.

You would think he could do Ask the King at the end of a regular stream where he can spend the entire stream eliciting questions, but that would take effort.

By making it a 3.5 hour stream (starts at 3:30 EST, assuming it ends at the usual 7 PM EST time), he set this up to go one of two ways: 1) he gets few questions, just like before, and he can just peace out and never do it again, OR 2) by threatening to take away the Phil Burnell Knowledge- and Experience-free Opinion Hours (TM, R, C), he gins up a bunch of tardy questions and probably money since his fans think you have to hand someone a dollar to speak a sentence to them. Either way, he "wins".

I can't wait for a hour long pre stream for what's basically a 2 and a half hour long pre stream because you know there's going to be some 30 minute break needed.

I'm also curious if this is the arc reveal where we go full in depth to his financial woes which would lead us to nostalgia tomorrow. Seems like a nice way to squeeze out more cash.

I think the MLB stream will be better though, he gets baited way too much on those streams since he's running simulations 80% of the time and can only field questions from chat.

As I recall, he went to college originally in a computer science major. Then a nudnik detractor professor who was a no-load know-nothing destroyed Phil's dreams by failing to tell Phil how to progress in the game class. So he switched over to business. And yes, he's full of shit regarding programming jobs. I had multiple friends that went into video game development and other places like Google, Microsoft, and so on, and I wasn't even a comp sci major.

So there's a STRONG CHANCE he'll be playing Layers of Fear, even though people asked for A Plague Tale.

He's playing A Plague Tale now after someone paid for it. It also ought to be more than a STRONG CHANCE (TM) that he'll play Layers of Fear since someone literally tipped the $30 for the game (BUT MUH TAXES).
