Because rather than hire artists to perfectly draw the image that you want then permanently etched into your skin, he draws it himself. And when people are going for full body tats as he is, they usually plan them out so that there's some kind of visual theme or cohesion or that each tattoo is a small part of a greater whole. He just finds an empty space and slaps on whatever will fit from his collection of scrawls.
