I think a reason it looks a bit better is it doesn't have that awful kindergarten colouring as well.

Well I can't say I'm all that surprised that Chris has decided to go the route of Kim Newman/Seth Grahame-Smith/Spike Milligan route when it comes to Sonichu. However I have to say it's kind of sad that he's doing this. Granted Sonichu has always been a plagerized libel mess, but it wasn't designed from the forefront to be like Pride and Prejudice and Zombies or The Bloody Red Baron. If I had to guess, Chris is doing this not because he's a fan of the genre but because it's the least amount of effort in creating things plus he probably feels he can oneup the original creators by following the Mister Enter philosophy.

I think he really is getting better. I know, but still. Just look at the Sonichus from this page and compare them to the original:

If he's tracing it wouldn't be his first time and at least now he's tracing consistently. Also, the panel structure and speech bubbles are more coherent and easier to understand. And if you pay attention, you'll notice that characters aren't just thrown around and floating in mid-air. Look at the fireplace scene in particular. Chris is finally, after 16 years, beginning to discover perspective. Baby steps, but still an improvement. Of course, he could easily ruin it all when he adds color. The coloring has always been one of the most atrocious elements of Sonichu.

It got me thinking also: whatever will we all do when Chris Chan is actually no longer with us? Like not just crawling back after some inactivity? I don't really like to think about the answer if I'm honest but I can near fucking guarantee Chris' death will be a giant deal for give or take a month and after that it'll be a blip on the radar, only to be mentioned annually on the anniversary of his passing. Though, I'd like to think that us folk will memorialize him for much longer, albeit in the Lolcow sense. It's just a trend that the rest of internet tends to forget people like Chris after a certain point just cause it's easier than thinking about all the """"""""""problematic""""""""""""" shit they've done.

It's hilarious to me that after all these years of being a "comic book author", he still can't write convincing, naturalistic dialogue to save his life. It's easy to tell that the bulk of his social interaction over the last twelve years has been with his fossilized parents and his imaginary friends, because he has no idea how normal people talk to each other.

I wouldn't say he's getting better. His style has changed slightly over the years and now it's just bad in an entirely different way.
