my guess is that this is another case of 'autistic loser finally snaps' - just another bullied low status male who finally realized that as a bullied low status male he has nowhere to go in life and no future worth looking forward to, so he decides to end it all and take a few people with him.
but usually these types target the ones who they hold responsible for their miserable situation, like the other kids who bullied him or something like that. would be interesting to hear what made him go off like that at his own family specifically.
