Got a cherry Slurpie from here today. It's been like 10 years.
got a super footlong italian style sub
ripping off chunks about three inches long, adding some leftover hummus and jarred jalapenos
grabbed a freshly added one from the back of the rack, and it's impressive how nice the bread is when it's brand new
there's not many things that hit the spot at right-before-booze-sales-stops as a large bottle of smirnoff ice and some spicy beef jerky
This entirely depends on state. Where I am you can only get beer and wine at these places. Liquor you have to buy at the liquor store. It used to be worse, you could only buy 3.2% beer anywhere but liquor stores, and not even wine, but we voted to change that a few years ago.I fucking envy Americans for one reason: you can get all your booze AND snackies in the same goddamn store.
It's finally gotten to where grocery stores in B.C. are allowed to stock wine and cider (not beer) but very few besides Real Canadian Superstore bother, apparently the licence required is stupid expensive and red-tape bound, and the prices are shit compared to a liquor store AND a manager has to be called over to authorize the purchase. Fuck's sake, WEED is legal in B.C. for a couple years now but you still can't buy liquor in a corner store.
Fucking leftover puritanical laws no one wants to touch to remove because ancient crumblies will be angry and might not vote for them grumble.....

yeah I had an in-law who moved down to my neck of the woods in Florida, and we grabbed some high life and pretzels at a gas station on the way to meet him at the motel while he got settled into the areaThis entirely depends on state. States like Utah are more similar to what you're used to, their liquor control is pretty intense. And then there were the places with dry counties like north Texas, no booze at all, but I think that's been done away with by now.
