Nah, I think there are very few things that Chris has ever legitimately "wised up" about. That ain't his strong suit.
This is exactly the sort of "deal" that would have snared Barb time and time again during her hoarding glory days.
Shame peppy was banned, those CDs might have been a decent sub for Bob's clothes.

This is exactly the kind of shit that was running through my head when I read these. It's like Chris already made a shit ton of those autograph pictures and wants to get rid of them; but he also has some of the music shit that no one wants (I think one person bought it and then regretted it when they realized you can get it for free) and then he has those commissions he pre-made that no one wants. He wants it all sold but he's just .... Chris. He's already made like $1000 from the autographs because they were $20 a pop. But Chris wants to sell just as many $200 commissions so he can have $$,$$$,$$$,$$$.
I actually really want to commission a picture of one of my pets from him but his prices are just way too high.
I wanted it so bad I asked if he'd accept legos, video games or toys in trade and he said no. I asked if he'd take 20 bucks (my maximum for his art) and he said no as well.

Jeez, at this rate Chris is going to start a Kickstarter CWCstarter campaign. These posts of his all sound like different stretch goals. "If I raise $1,000,000, then I will automatically upgrade all B&W commissions to full color! And all full color commissions will come with a complimentary traced drawing of my bent duck."

This... this sounds suspiciously like a lot of work for Chris. I'm one of the Chris followers who tries to see good in things he does - even if I suspect the goodness to be a unconsidered by-product - so good on him. Making that money. For lego.
Lamination and a COA next time you give him $100. Probably with some hair trapped under it and the wrong date.
This sounds desperate. Like the autographs aren't flying off the shelves and he is panicking or he knows this influx of cash will be short lived so he is striking while the iron is hot. I would have a hard time believing he is not being coached through all of this. He went from outrageous prices to prices reasonable enough that people are actually paying them. I wonder if he would go as far as to sell Sonichu merchandise like medallions and Lego minifigs with mutant Sonichu heads.
