It's possible the address has been changed in the past 21 years, maybe due to 911 system implementation, upgrades or expansion in the housing development. My childhood address changed in the early 90s due to 911, but we went from the Rural Route #, Box # to the house number followed by street name system.

Chris would no doubt believe whatever Barb told him about Cole's dad, either because Chris wouldn't care or he'd think she'd tell him the truth. Adding to that what you mention, Cole would have another reason to block Chris, his own half-brother either doesn't care or just believes whatever Barb told him.
