After lurking and watching this unfold for the entertainment value, at this point I think the true irony lies in the damage this guy has done to the entire lgbt movement. Here in BC, as with other Provences, gov't and media has swung the ideological pendilum so far left on queer issues that we've reached a point where otherwise indifferent people are becoming offended and concerned. In this case even many LGBT people are rightfully pissed. JY's behavior brought his story into accepted mainstream news in a negative light, helping to further wedge open civil discussions on the issue without being branded a bigot. He has become a both a poster boy and a meme for the mental health issues associated with a greasy segment of the lgbt community, as well as highlighting problems with own laws and rules regarding human rights in Canada. Hilariously this is a total contradiction to the image he's trying so hard to manufactur. Thankfully his life and persona contains so many elements of tragic comedy that even the Romans would have laughed and followed along. It's fucking great entertainment.... I can't remember the last time I had so much fun following a story.

Blair's video might not have been mind blowing as promised (the agent trolling was pretty funny). And for the time being perhaps it's difficult to see any justice in this situation. But im relishing in the fact that JY's saga has already been more impactful than some mickey mouse criminal charge. He has almost single handedly, with the help of mother, opened the minds of countless people to the possibility of restraining some of the unsustainable aspects of our socially progressive policies without being labeled intolerant. He's opened discussions on the abuse of our system by a small segment of power hungry 'victims'. As many of you know, the laws in Canada can have the effect of stamping out what many consider legitimate but unpopular discussion, so I see these types of events as small victories. I'm here for the laughs, and I'm so thankful to JY for all the spicy content. But what he's done is serious business. Ruining peoples careers for bullshit reasons is bad enough, but involving children is unforgivable. Thankfully most of the Canadian public strongly agrees with these sentiments, even if the RCMP aren't willing to go hard. These are the types of events tend to have a lasting memory, and I for one thank JY for bringing this discourse to popular media and watercooler union meetings.

As shown previously in thread, he filed a lolsuit against a few gay porn shooting companies he was supposed to shoot for because he felt like they stole his personal brand, even though it wasn't posted anywhere on the internet, and claiming that his product would be worth approximatively 10 million dollars (lol).

Aside from this lolsuit, guy had a few businesses ideas before, such as designing a gay reality show called "BLU Reality Show" that had a cash prize $150,000. However it seems that the site and the project itself is down.

He also owned a company named InShapeBody, where he basically sold a bunch of steroids.


As to why he got involved in Yaniv's story altogether? Absolutely no clue.

That is not entrapment. Entrapment requires government action to lure you into something you wouldn't do otherwise. Also it never actually works as a defense, even when the defendant is basically exceptional and has been given all the materials he needs by the FBI to do something that the FBI suggested.

In the case of video evidence in the US and Canada you're going to run into problems with hearsay and authentication. Overcome either of those and you can use that evidence.

I've known people who used it successfully as a defense, they were drinking beer at a party and the cop ordered them to come talk to them on the sidewalk and gave them an open container ticket.
