Serious question, why are NONE of these journalists asking these girls to download their fucking FB history and pull the specific transcript involving them and Yaniv? Like seriously, put that file out on the internet. Hows he going to claim that shit is fake when it's in FB's own database? A) probably won't tell anyone (they determine this by transgressing the victims boundaries in stages and waiting to see if they will tell anyone)
or
B) won't be believed if they decide to talk (a woman who drinks a lot is a good example)
iirc guys like that rack up like 18-20 victims on average over their lifetimes, they rarely serve time.

This subforum feels a lot like the schofield thread. People really thought if abusive parents would get put in their place by child protective services, but nothing happened for years, and it really seems like the only reason anything happened was because dr phil used his connections to get it looked into (side note: the case got fucked up, go look at the thread). Similarly, after all the #metoo shit, people seem to think that the police are eager to deal with sex crimes, but they aren't. They are hard to prosecute, and the victims are treated horribly in court so it would be really cruel to greenlight cases for prosecution that are unlikely to result in conviction. The more sex crimes reported in a district, the worse the community looks, and sometimes there is active pressure to lower the crime rate on behalf of whatever politicians are in power, it is easy to just file something as unfounded to make the stats look better. They can't do that with brutal, physically violent rapes but those are pretty rare. There are a lot of forces that make things work the way that they do. The most optimistic take I can muster is that they already have enough with the other victim that they talked to last month, and don't want to have to add a bunch of shit to the case they're working until they arrest him.

I think that "the older individual" was a reference to Yaniv himself, just written confusingly because of the attempt to avoid pronouns. That's how I read it, anyway.
People are punishing Blaire for doing that which is why I'm avoiding that thread. Someone is finally doing something about it and people are punishing what they want to see.
Right now there's already a ton of evidence. Any additional evidence is just gas thrown on the forest fire.
