I think (not sure) those are all the Planet Dolan members (the YouTube channel Doopie works for that Chris loves)
Chris is a child of media. The idea of the noble hero attempting to sacrifice his social circle/status/weath/life for the girl, only for deux ex machina to save them both, but him getting rewarded, is ingrained in his skull.
He's still brazenly following RomCom plot 101 as if they are actually dating documentaries.
His mis-use of the phrase "at my expense" really tickles me.
I'm sure he's anxiously waiting for Doopie to message him saying "Wow, Chris! You're such a great guy! I totally misjudged you!" as we speak.

I honestly think curing Chris' autism would be the worst kind of hell. Like you'd step out of a blackhole and come to realize the light of what your life has become
