Totally agree. No normie could handle the KF knowledge blasted at them firehose style. But starting off with the "neutral" info is a great way to show them the path.

The problem being, most voters are not aware of bullshit like this because the Mainstream Media won't report on it. Sure, the CBC and the papers might do a story about "JY" who is a "transgender woman" who "some people refused to wax the genitals", but they won't go deep. When the publication ban was dropped, one or two of the newspapers did say that some of the estheticians got an expert to tell the HRT that waxing men's genitalia is way different than waxing women's, to the point of where they could actually do damage if they used the same method and wax on men as on women. A Newspaper said that, but not the TV news (not CTV, not CityTV, not CBC), and I guess some people will watch TV news but not read the paper. But, by and large, neither TV nor Newspapers report on things like JY's courting of underage girls and such.

BC is so very, very progressive, having attracted a ton of hippies in the 60s and 70s, including a shit ton of Democrat-leaning or outright commie Vietnam Draft Dodgers, leading to an infestation of a huge NDP (and eventually Green) voter base. It's starting to be the San Fransisco of the North up in Vancouver, there. People mindlessly vote progressive politicians in because heaven forbid a Conservative get in because they're rayciss and sexist and homophobe or whatever, and due to Justin's father Pierre giving BC the one-finger salute up in Salmon Arm years ago plus the disastrous National Energy Policy, nobody's that fond of Liberals either aside a few die-hard strongholds like patches in North Van and Metro Vancouver. There used to be Liberals in Victoria (like former MP David Anderson), but they were wiped out by the combined efforts of the Reform/Alliance and the NDP back in the 90s - the MINUTE the Reform/Alliance was absorbed back into the Conservative party, those ridings went NDP - except Saanich-Gulf Islands, a traditional NDP stronghold, which went Green. However there is also a large contingent of people who won't vote "because it won't make a difference" because they are cynical as hell, and it takes something like this to wake their asses up. It might even wake up some Progressives that reflexively vote more left-wing but don't realize the effects of the policies made by such parties in power. I kid you not, some people here are so stupid that they'll vote NDP because "NDP is pro-union/labor" even though the NDP is now a bastion of social justice that couldn't give a flying fuck about the Worker anymore in favor of Identity Politics. I think some of that waking up happened last Provincial election, when the NDP outright forbade straight white men from running for the nomination, which pissed a ton of people off and caused at least one riding to go Green (the other reason was the work Sonia Furstenau, the Green winner, did to protest a toxic soil dump near Shawnigan Lake).

BC also has a habit of just using the "protest vote", which is how the Reform/Alliance even got seats here in the first place.

Now I agree it's kinda unfair to hold witless voting wonders responsible for the crazy laws put in by the people they voted for, BUT, if they are presented with said shitty laws and the connection to the party they support, THEN you can make them own it. Hopefully if they're horrified to the point of "my god what have I done" you can at least get the person to STOP VOTING altogether if not switch to a more sane party because all the other parties are unacceptable. And trust me, Greens are not even sane enough to not pull bullshit like the NDP when it comes to IngSoc Justice.

Sounds very much like what's going on here in Australia. The Labor party went into the last two elections 4 points ahead in the polls and managed to lose both times. In an expose published days after their latest defeat, unnamed sources within the party revealed identity politics had taken over the party and they believe that's why voters stayed away despite the current government's unpopularity. Labor had always been the party of the worker but now inner-party discussion is centred around gender and sexuality issues and no one dares to try and bring the discussion back to issues that affect common Australians lest their career be destroyed with allegations of homophobia, transphobia, ect.

TL;DR Australian politics is still a massive shit show.

A lot of Canadians were horrified by Bill C16, which is how gender expression was added to the protected classes in the first place. The problem is that because Trudeau has a majority gov't (for now), and the Senate are all appointed for life, and most date back to the previous Liberal gov't, he was able to jam this bullshit through, so he'd look like a progressive hero.

The overwhelming fault lies in Ontario, Quebec, and the lower mainland of BC, which are, on their own, enough federal ridings for a given party to secure a majority gov't, because Ontario and Quebec represent something like 42% of the population; the Maritimes and the Prairies are primarily filled with people that would be 100% happy to let fags be fags, and to let adult troons mutilate their genitals on their own dime, without any kind of gov't assistance, and have immediate problems with the notion that some deranged fuck can destroy your life with a claim made to a kangaroo court that is entirely without any form of oversight, whatsoever.

Look at it this way - an East Indian dude in Ontario was renting a suite to a Muslim couple, it wasn't working out, they agreed that the lease would be allowed to lapse, and the couple would move on to another place. The owner was showing the property to other prospective tenants, and the couple put an HRT complaint in for "religious discrimination", because he didn't take his shoes off in a property he owned. The Muslims were ruled to have a valid complaint, and granted damages.

That's the kind of absolutely asinine bullshit that's developed out of what was supposed to have been a non-judicial system designed to allow people to seek redress for discrimination without all the hassle and expense of civil court, but naturally, every scrap of legislation is full of unintended consequences, and every system has assholes looking to game it.

Frankly, at this point, the Prairies and the whole centre of the US should all just form a new country, and leave all the coastal progressives to fucking rot, without a stitch of petrochemicals or modern manufacturing capacity, and use the St. Lawrence and Mississippi waterways to handle the shipping. And they should offer immediate amnesty to all the Hong Kong protesters that want it, and hand them Detroit to turn into Hong Kong 2.0.
