Who is Hooves even collecting these letters for? Holdek said on the last thread that Hooves "doesn't believe in the 'medicalist' model" for gender-related surgery, but clearly the famous letters are intended for some medical personnel (or I suppose some Medicare administrator) at some point.
Can this possibly be how any sane person would go about getting (or funding) surgery? People I know who have transitioned worked with the same therapists and doctors for years, so this "collect letters from random health care institutions" thing never came up.
Did anyone actually tell Hooves to get these letters, or was it something Hooves came up with hoofself?
