A bad blog I used to like - does anyone know what happened to this guy? -

So I used to read this blog called "Julian Perez Conquers the Universe"

It was a lot of nerdy shit--comic books, old pulps, that kind of thing. But there's also a lot of politics (warning: this guy was a leftie. Thankfully this was pre-Trump, when lefties weren't *completely* insane).

The thing that made this blog interesting to me though is that... this guy was a complete fucking idiot. But sometimes, he was an *interesting* idiot. Sometimes he would (accidentally) say something intelligent. Most times he was so wrong you had to wonder if he was smoking.

Just a few examples:

This guy argues it should be okay to incarcerate people for being born different. This one gets worse when you read his hate crimes post.

He thinks its impossible for conservative authors to write stories about rebels fighting empires because "surely from their perspective this is just the result of free-market forces." Lolwut. Also implies in that article that all conservatives are a hive mind.

One of his articles I found genuinely good (at first) was this one about some Shazam series, but then halfway through he goes off the deep end by saying nobody is named "Mary" anymore so people should've known Mary Batson was Mary Marvel.. and then follows up with a rant about comic readers being "overprotective of female characters" (he brings up Gwen Stacy's fling with Norman Osborn as an example of fans "overreacting" by the way).

So yeah, I enjoyed reading this guy. Some articles (like the one about Thanos being better than Darkseid) were actually interesting back when I was young and stupid, but even back then I knew he was a bit of a crackpot.

What I want to know is... what happened to this guy? His blog ended in 2014. It actually used to have an article about SJWs and how they're a problem, but he deleted it (you can still use Google for proof it existed though). Since then, zilch. This guy seems to have disappeared off the face of the Earth. What doesn't help is that "Julian Perez" is a common name so I keep getting hits for people that clearly aren't this guy.

If anyone can point me at something this guy is still doing, I'd appreciate it.

sounds gay, but interesting, why not post in prospering grounds
I'm still learning the ropes here at the farms and I'm not sure what the prospering grounds are.

Can they really be used for someone who seems to have disappeared in 2014?

I think I found your guy, he talks about his dad here:
I'm not gonna post all the details because I don't think these people need their names on Kiwi Farms for no real reason, but I found his dad which led to his brother's instagram which led to him. Here's him with his dad:
So there you go, im pretty sure that's your guy, Julian Gabriel Perez

Whoa, thanks. I might contact him and ask why he stopped updating his blog (though I suspect already the answer will be something like "I just lost interest" or "life got in the way".... it happens).

As ridiculous as some of his opinions are, I'm glad he's still around.

EDIT: By the way, does anyone know a convenient way to download an entire blog? I'm often forced away from the internet and I'd also like to archive this, but without having to manually download each individual entry.
