A Beginner's Guide to Tumblrisms -

It occurred to me the other day that part of the reason why so many of these words are totally incomprehensible is that they cannot be defined by themselves, independent of accepting the ideology that spawned them.

For example, I saw someone sperging about being "pansexual" on social media, and Wikipedia actually has a definition for this shit, which is wanting to fuck anyone that breathes no matter where they fall on the "gender spectrum". The ontological problem is immediate: "pansexuality" is useless as a descriptor unless one first accepts axiomatically that gender falls on a spectrum, so anyone who has no clue about the gender spectrum (i.e. nearly everyone) will likewise not have a fucking clue as to what pansexuality could possibly be referring to, other than wanting to fuck kitchen utensils.

EDIT: This is why they will always fail at attempting to introduce their terminology, incidentally. The words they create only describe new phenomena insofar as one perceives the phenomena as new via the prescribed ideology. If you don't accept the ideology, you won't have any need to describe the phenomenon in question, so the word is motherfucking useless.

Transmisandry: A hatred of transgender men for being... well, transgender men. By Tumblr's standards (and I'm pretty sure in most LGBT+ spaces), this does not exist because apparently the only oppression trans men face is for not being cisgender. As such, anything specifically directed at trans men is just transphobia.

I'm pretty sure it was coined by trans men but then shot down by trans women.

I've always been befuddled by the people who deny transmen getting shit on specifically for being transmen, because they're the same exact people who hold those biases in the first place. (Same thing happens with regular misandry though, tbh)

It's Social Justice. If it made sense and was based on fairness and logic it would just be regular boring old Justice which as we all know is a tool of the Patriarchy.
