Feedback A "Debate the Autist" Subforum -

Some individuals have brought up turning the Autism Thunderdrome subforum into this type of forum but I believe that place can still be a discussion board for the Manosphere and loveshy cows. When a lolcow finds their thread here and wants to fight with people here, it should be split off into a debate/fighting thread and the original thread should have all the information needed if it gets out of hand and then the thread can be moved into this subforum where it will make the main Lolcow boards more organized

A lolcow like Faye was also threadbanned from the original thread and right now it's been going pretty well.

No, discussion about the content and finding more information about the cow and hopefully discussion about how to put all that information together on the Lolcow Wiki and ED. It would also be a place where those who have encountered the cow before elsewhere can drop their stories and it would be a lot more readable than having tons and tons of posts involving people talking to the lolcow and having a lot of that content harder to find.

Information gathering, I guess. There are threads that thrive on content other than yelling at a lolcow.

As far as the procedure on whether to restrict the cow into the "debate" thread or not should preferably be decided by a stated wish by the op and&/or a poll in any thread. For example, all of Connor's thread is basically talking to him, it wouldn't make sense to have separate threads for him.

There would be exceptions and the Connor thread is one of them. I wanted this to address the Shaner and Crickets style threads.

Hmm.

I can see how this might work in theory. It keeps everybody happy: Those who enjoy discussing lolcows, those who enjoy engaging lolcows, and those who enjoy both (such as myself ).

The problem is that there are quite a few lolcows (@Connor Bible, @Brad Watson_Miami, @Cowlick) who mainly produce content through their postings on this site, and thus the line between "yelling at a lolcow" and "gathering content" can become a bit muddy. It's kind of silly to have a thread where a lolcow posts and then have another one for discussing this lolcow's posts. We might as well have just one.

In any case, the Faye Kane thread seems to be working well, so it wouldn't hurt to try it out. It can't be worse than the Entersphere.

I am for this idea. Cows take a shit in their thread and it attracts the Shaner Squad. They fight with the cow and a simple thread bloats to 100 pages in no time.

This sounds like a idea great in theory til you realize you created a spammy as fuck subforum. I'd impose posting time limits or something. It just sounds terrible leaving a bunch of unsupervised and unrestricted retards to themselves.

I'm down for it, but it should probably be cautiously moderated as to avoid any spam. Maybe only mods should make threads so there's less shitposting, and things are more regulated.

The point of a sub for debating the autist would be to separate the discussion and the "lol ur gay" threads.

It'd be like opening a containment board for a-logging. The goal is to stop it altogether, not to marginalize or compartmentalize it.
