A Hat in Time - Super Mario Sunshine + Cute Hat Girl

A Hat in Time was a game that was on Kickstarter for, what seemed like, forever, and was the only thing I've ever backed on Kickstarter.

It came out on the 5th and after 100% completing the game, I have many positive things to say.

Did anybody else pick up this game?

I found out about this game when that side it Twitter started REEEEing about Jontron being in the game and the developers DIDN’T remove him. Haven’t played it myself, but I’ve seen a few YouTubers play it and seems like a really charming and cute platformer.

Got the game on GOG. So far, I'm having fub with the game. In some related news to the game and its score, Gamespot gave it a 7/10. Cue tweets over it arguing about overviews.

Lolcow/sperg Ian Miles Cheong makes a tweet about it. Cue detractor spergs taking this too seriously and think some sperg is starting outrage (and Ian likely taking shit on the VA too seriously)

It was. Funny thing about: the furry I mentioned getting upset by someone not liking the overview thought it to to be unprofessional. Funny thing since it's not really unprofessional and its something that makes laughing at NeoGaf harder since they don't have much ground in bitching over the game if voices can be disabled.

I actually made that joke in the A Hat in Time Salt thread.

I’d love it if they did patch the game to remove Jontron’s voice...by adding a “Voices Off” option in the Settings menu.

From the gameplay I've seen so far, it looks better than what I expected. I love that they left Jon's voice in the game. I find it hilarious that some people are losing their shit over such a minor snippet of audio just because he made some "controversial" remarks almost a year ago. Planning on getting it when it comes out on console.

This he is better than Super Mario Oddest tbh, and some elements of that game, combined with this one's long development time, makes me wonder if some elements of SMO might have been "inspired" by the HIT beta released some time ago.
