A new view on the Megan saga? -

Now that the Megan saga is kind of resurrecting (in a rotten zombie way), I found this on /cow/, so take it with a grain of salt of course, but who knows, seems legit.

It paints Megan and Mimms in a much worse light, (without still justifying Chris being such a gigantic moron) and offers some new info and insights on some stuff.

I am personally doubtful of the veracity of these comments due to it all just reiterating what was already known with some extra details that would be easy to pull out of ones ass. If any of the extra details were confirmed afterwards by a credible source I would believe it however

I'm leaning towards probably true, with Mimm's reaction to Borb, but I'm wondering why this has come out now. Is it because Megan became a hot-button issue? Is it some ween looking for attention? I don't know.

But even if the portrayal of Megan here is true, it doesn't excuse CWC's actions.

At first I thought the whole thing was pretty interesting, but then it just seemed like the guy was regurgitating CWCki information.

I also wondered why it was all coming out now, but then I saw the dates on those posts. 2010. Since it doesn't seem like "Gamer Paulo" ever made a confirmation that what he was saying was true, my guess is that they just kind of let it slip through the cracks.

Yeah, this has been out for a while and as far as I know it was never confirmed true or false. (EDIT - missed Marvin's post just now, guess that answers that)
Either way, I don't think it ultimately matters much. We already knew Megan was kind of strange, socially isolated, and liked GERMAN WARFARE, and that all the rest of the PLACe regulars were some kind of odd dudes of teenage who came to play kids' card games, etc. Put them together every week and add one autistic catalyst, and no one's going to come out looking like a saint. Makes me feel for Snyder, he must have had his hands full.

Yeah, this pretty much sounds like everything we've already heard, save for "Mimms was a coward" and "Megan sucks". While I can't speak much for the Mimms part, we've seen that the "Megan sucks" or "Megan was a user" opinion has been around a lot.

Now, let's say that that was true, that Megan was just a manipulator who would go from guy to guy to get what she wanted. What would that prove? Well, for one, it would prove that the most significant relationship Chris has ever had in his adult life existed only because someone saw him as a thing that provided stuff. Which is how Chris sees the role of his sweetheart. Again, if Manipulatin' Megan was truly who this woman was, then it can be safely said that, with the exception of the Wallflower, no one really wants to be friends with Chris.

I call bullshit as well. If Mimms had actually begged Chris for forgiveness, he would have GLOATED about it. We certainly would have heard about it by now.

The writing style reminds me a bit of Anna. It mixes in little bits of the truth, yet manages to cast aspersions on Megan's character while, at the same time, dialing down the role Chris played in the whole mess.

Of course, it could just be you average everyday run-of-the-mill troll trying to fuck with everyone.

About the closest thing this guy says that sounds authentic is his description of Barb as "not very fat" which could've either been a fluke or not true at all, given that nobody can really confirm whether or not Barb was actually overweight at the time. Apart from that, there's nothing in any of the dude's comments that he couldn't have found out just by going to the cwcki and really, some of the stuff he talks about appears to just be random things available on the cwcki clumsily injected into his story, like Barb spontaneously ranting about Chris' delayed speech and the Green county conspiracy, claiming to be the inspiration for the Strongman videos when he really obviously wasn't (etc.)

Somebody further down makes a good point about about Megan being the only female in a group of guys typically starved of female attention, and the sort of scenarios that can arise in that situation. There's no doubt that she would have been surrounded by men whether she liked it or not. There's also the fact that Chris status as "special" kind of limits the way people can spurn him. Chances are, if he was normal he would have been told to go fuck himself pretty early.

Remember megan did refuse the Nintendo DS that Chris offered her, and said she would have declined the psp had he won the competition.
