Again, I'm sorry if this has already been covered, I've been away for a while.

I just had a random thought about the way that Chris is so ready to give away his dox through emails, videos, phone calls etc. I think it all stems from his tendency to accidentally end up in the spotlight at a young age...namely the Sonic competition that he won.

Now, this entire theory may be shot down instantly if I have this wrong, but I'm petty sure with those watch-and-win things you had to call up a number/write a letter to enter, which had to include your name, address and phone number. Chris had instant success with this, and I think it planted a small seed in his mind; entering contests, which means giving away personal details freely, is a good thing that earns him positive attention and even physical rewards. As OPL tends to cling to his childhood for guidance towards his actions when older, as it gives him comfort in the fact that he should almost certainly be rewarded as he was when he was a child, I can only guess that he continued to enter various contests other than the ones we know about...which means giving away personal details every time.

Chrissy is a creature of habit, as we well know, so it isn't entirely unreasonable to believe that he became so acclimatised to giving away his own details for what he believed to be something that would benefit him, that he eventually thought nothing of throwing out his personal information because hey, it's only even meant good things before, right?

Thoughts, guys?

I think it's just that Chris considers every distinguishing detail of his life to give him authority and grandeur. Sort of like how he insists on using all of his past and present names. More titles=more greatness.

While I agree on the names front, I don't think he holds his address to have as much 'power' but more as a password of sorts for getting more stuff to add to the hoard. I think it's turned into some kind of weird habitual ritual (sick rhymes yo) of 'names for grandeur, dox for stuff'. In fact, I could even go as far as to turn it into a little poem -

Names for grandeur, dox for stuff,
Fangs for power, fame for muff,
One for all and sod the rest,
Me, myself and I are best.

Seriously though, I think it's a force of habit that kinda got out of control.

It's also a trait of autism to be very specific about things. You'll find a lot of autistics have a habit of using their full name in conversations where most people would just use their first name, for instance. Chris probably associates specificity with accuracy and HONESTY. For example, when he refers to himself as Chris he likes to specify he actually means Christopher Christian Weston Chandler of 14 Branchland Court, Ruckersville Virginia USA because without any social skills like understanding context he probably genuinely believes everyone might confuse him for some other Chris if he's not specific enough as things like context fly right over Chris' head.

I've noticed that in videos when he drops his dox you can see his manner of speech change. He speaks clearly and doesn't miss a beat. One side effect is that he ends up giving more dox than he would need to. Kind of like once the memorization flow starts he cant stop it until he finishes.

It may be influenced by television as well. A number of television shows that require viewer material (like America's Funniest home Videos) give out their full address at the end of every episode. It's the same thing with ads for sweepstakes and the like. Chris may have internalized this as something that's acceptable (maybe even expected of him) when he addresses people in a public forum. Though, I don't know if Chris ever watched those kind of shows.

Too bad there wasn't a Sonic Says segment about giving away personal information.

His address, just like his initials, is a major part of his identity. That being said, he's really stupid and when he first would give his address and phone number on youtube he didn't realize Jerks(tm) would use that info to send him pickles and Julay the crap out of him.

Saying that, he gave his address out a lot early because he thought he was doing business with people who needed it like the creator of mario and defending himself as the real CWC. I guess no one told him that doxing himself on the phone or web is a huge nono or they did tell him and typical Chris just didn't pay attention.

I honestly think this is 100% the reason for the doxxing, and none of the stuff to do with TV. Mentioning his full name and address adds renown and gravitas to what he's saying AND, in his mind, reassures everyone that he is who he says he is and he is the real deal, which became considerably more important to him the more 'famous' he imagined he became. With his 1 billion fans, it was very important that they didn't mistake him for any other Chris.

Could also be a reflex. Maybe he learned his name and address together, and has difficulty saying one without the other... Sorta like how, when I say the alphabet, I have to consciously suppress singing it (sometimes waiting up to an hour until I'm alone, to sing "next time won't you sing with me"). Or, if I have to say the alphabet to a certain letter, I might accidentally continue a few more letters if I learned 'em in a chunk (like, I can't say LMN without OP, because I just learned 'em as one big word "Ellemennohpee").

Some mnemonics are relentless like that, even to neurotypical people. If it's cataloged in his head a certain way, it may be difficult for him to stop once he's worked up and on that path, on top of the whole TRUE and HONEST thing.

Interesting theory, however i'll stick to the simplest explanation that requires the least amount of assumptions; Chris is just fucking stupid.
