Tekkoshocon 2007 took place on Friday, April 13th to Sunday, April 15th. Two affiants in this case, Lynn Hunt and Whitney Falba, allege that Vic Mignonga went missing sometime during the convention and was found in his hotel room with one or more underage girls by Tekko staff.

Lynn Hunt alleges that Vic Mignogna went missing for several hours on Saturday and that he was located in his hotel room with an underage female.

Whitney Falba does not give a specific day as to when this happened, but said that it was 30-45 minutes prior to a question and answer panel. She said that Vic Mignogna was located in his hotel room with three underage girls.

It is disconcerting how vague they are as to when this incident occurred. This makes it difficult for Vic Mignogna to provide an alibi or produce evidence that would refute their claims. To make matters worse, no schedule for this event has been produced that would list the panels Vic was scheduled to appear at. While we cannot rule out that such an incident occurred, we can narrow the scope as to when it could have, based on photos and videos of Vic that were taken during the event. He had a large contingent of Risembool Rangers following him around and they took a lot of pictures.

Whitney Falba testified that she was the Live Events Chair and her duties were as follows:

directing events to stay on time, working with Guest Relations to make certain guests appeared where pertinent and in a timely fashion, verifying details for events and making sure organizers showed up on time. I also verified that events had the staffing and security needs fulfilled for the safety of staff and attendees.

However, the staff listing shows that was Chris Aumiller's job. He was present at the convention and if you look at the photos above, he is wearing a watch while Whitney is not. That would come in handy when "directing events to stay on time".

Jim Falba made an entry on his Live Journal about the convention, detailing his movements and activities, along with those of future wife, Whitney Falba.

He wrote that he was awakened early on Saturday so he and Whitney could dart off to her FMA panel. Note: Vic's coffee cup.

"Saturday was significantly less busy as far as my own department was concerned, but I still had much to occupy myself with. I was awakened early so we could dart off to Whitney's FMA panel. That was pretty neat, even though the fans mostly kept hammering Vic with questions."

Whitney testified that she was hesitant to allow Vic to join what was supposed to be her panel. She said that he ignored the outline she provided and questions about how the panel would be organized. She said that he went off topic with comments about other voice actors related to the show.

In contrast to this statement, Whitney seemed to be enjoying herself during the panel despite Vic telling a drinking story that had nothing to do with FMA. If the alleged incident in the hotel room with the underage girls had occurred on Friday or very early Saturday morning, her behavior with Vic would seem to be very inappropriate.

As for what happened after the FMA panel ended,

Whitney Falba wrote this in her affidavit,

"When I left the panel, I witnessed Mignogna requesting for another autograph session, despite requests from me and security telling him he needed to clear the room for the next event. I believe that Mignogna did not have any concern for the convention schedule and other celebrities, and was more concerned about his own fandom and attention."

Jim Falba wrote this in his Live Journal,

"After that, me, Whitney, and Chris spent two unnecessary hours waiting to register our skit for the masquerade. That was a bit frustrating. It also made me slightly late to my Nadesico panel, which would have gone better had I had my necessary prep time. Thankfully Gai Daigoji saved the day. Gekigan STROKE!!!!!"

He also wrote that they rehearsed for and participated in the masquerade later that day.

Masquerade time! We sat and rehearsed for awhile (me, Whitney, Chris, and our Nabeshin). At some poitn in the intervening time we were getting close to running out of Saturday badges, leading into the part of the con I feel the most guilty about. Us Nerima Daikon Brothers were to go on stage in a half hour, but we needed more Saturday badges. I offered to go, but since it was getting late in the day and people didn't want me to miss my skit, I was told we didn't need to bother and we'd use last year's badges. I feel bad about not going, but they said I shouldn't. ^^;;

The skit went well, and I think people liked it. I sure as heck did. I hope someone took our picture or that someone recorded the skit.

So, was Jacqueline Miller mistaken? Maybe not. A Live Journal entry shortly before Tekko does suggest that he was in some sort of legal trouble at the time. On the AMV forum, Deuce Loosely reported that the hard drive for the AMV contest had a meltdown on Saturday afternoon, as did Lynn Hunt.

The first scheduled showing of AMV hell didn't happen. The second at 11:30 PM was also missed because the room she was in only had a DVD player and not a computer. The third showing at 2:30 am was a sting of clips in a media player, rather than part of a single presentation.

Lynn Hunt posted that the schedule "basically had me in events from opening ceremonies until about midnight with one 2 hour break between. That ended up being spent on getting food."

"Someone offered to help and we ended up chugging over his core2duo machine from home so we could get 2 computers working on this. Typically for me to compile the contest and fully render it taked approximately a week. I had about 15 hours until the next showing. His computer compiled rendered while I redid the category sprite animations."

Part of the problem of "remembering" things from 12 years ago is that even if you are operating in good faith, you are forced to reconcile your own fuzzy memories with the intense testimony of people you trust. When a suitably convincing liar comes out and reinvents the past emphatically and in a dramatic fashion, someone like Brett (who clearly doesn't get on too well with Vic these days) could very well suddenly "remember" that he kept Vic away from Mari and "remember" that Mari was uncomfortable around Vic and believe both things with total confidence - despite picture evidence to the contrary.

The FMA panel was 10:30 AM. (The photo says 9:30, but the description says 'around 10:30'. Likely, it's set for a different timezone or not set up for saving's time) Most likely the other camera was 12 hours off, meaning that it thought it was 10:30PM the previous day.

Vic appears to have gone to Mari Ijima's concert in 2007. That photo is taken about 8PM, Indicated here. This girl left her room at about 8PM and then encountered Vic near the Mari Ijima concert shortly after leaving her room.

The girl is part of the hotel room signing, which several different photographs try and fail to nail down with incorrect timeframes. Panels usually run for an hour, which means the FMA panel likely ran from 10AM to 11AM. The signing happens during the daylight; no photos show sunset or darkened sky. Sunset was 7:38PM. Soldier A went back to her room and stayed there from 6 to 8. At that point she had smudged and faded her makeup, meaning that the signing event had to have taken place before 6PM. Here is a picture of the line. The comments mention that this signing is scheduled, because at least two of them arrive 5+ minutes early for it.

Miller says that Vic and the others have some kind of panel 'in the afternoon', not the evening. Evening is usually considered to be 5PM. That means the childrens' panel that Vic participates in is likely to happen between the hours of 1PM and 4PM. Whitney claims that Vic starts his signing shortly after the FMA panel. The signing apparently happens at the hotel next to the expo mart.

If the FMA panel ended at 11AM, it's not unreasonable to assume that Vic started signing at around 11:30AM. A five hour signing session would end at 4:30PM. A three hour one would leave him at 2:30PM. At least one photograph has a timestamp of 2:18 with a line still present, but it says 'AM' instead of 'PM', so it's uncertain how close it is to accurate.

Vic is late for the children's panel because fangirls have stopped him in the hallway on his way from the autograph signing to the panel. It might be in the Expo Mart or it might be in the hotel, doesn't really matter. He then has a panel in children's programming that would also likely last an hour. Kyle Herbert is there with him.

That means he is finished with the panel in children's programming anywhere from 3:30 assuming a very short signing to 5:30 assuming a more regular signing length. The next confirmed sighting of him is around 8PM outside of Mari Ijima's concert. The Risembool meeting likely happens after the concert, which would put it around 10PM.

The signing had to be before the children's panel, as even the earliest the panel could have started would have left Vic signing from 2PM onward, meaning he would sign into sunset (and if the signing started any later than 2PM, he wouldn't be able to bump into Soldier A at 8PM). Thus, Vic has anywhere from 2.5 to 4.5 hours after the panel until Mari Ijima's concert where he is spotted. As it happens, someone bumps into Vic during the daylight when he's going to eat. The lighting is wonky in this photograph, but it's possible that the reason it's somewhat darker is because the day is getting late here. Most likely this is post-children's panel (it looks like he probably didn't have time to squeeze in food between FMA panel, signing, and the children's panel). That means he's likely tied up eating for 1-2 hours after the panel.

SO. We can add up to two hours more after his panel when his actions would be tracked well enough that we can assume he has no time to try to kidnap little girls. Thus, he won't have any free time to wander around until at least 5-ish, on the late end of the spectrum, he won't be wandering the con like a rogue agent until 7-ish, which gives him one whole hour before he is tracked.

TL;DR here is what I think his Saturday schedule looked like:

9:00-9:30 AM - Wake up, have breakfast, get ready for the day
10:00 AM-11 :00 AM - Co-host the FMA panel with Whitney and her husband.
11:20~AM-4:20~PM - Autograph table with his mom in the hotel for about 5hrs
4:30(-ish)PM-5:30PM - Children's panel with Kyle Herbert and Miller
5;30PM-7:30PM - Break for lunch/dinner, gets caught in some photos along the way. Probably spends a little time with his mom while he eats. 2 hours on a Saturday at a busy convention in Philadelphia during rush hour is a reasonable time frame, especially if he's not eating fast food. (Likely, since momma is there to treat)
8:00-ishPM-10:00PM - Mari Ijima's concert
10:00PM-12AM? - Risembool meeting in his hotel room (with mom there)
12:00AM+ - Cooldown and relaxation time in hotel room, likely a second meal before bed.

Jennifer's crazy version of the story couldn't possibly have happened: His schedule is too packed for him to have gone missing for 'several hours'. For him to have gone missing for 'several hours', he would have had to have vanished after the FMA panel at 11AM until 6PM, well into the evening. Even a slightly shorter version of 11AM-4PM still doesn't leave time for the panel and the signing before sunset.

Whitney's version of the story is also ridiculous: It would mean cutting almost an hour off of his already fairly short (for him) signing time before the children's panel so he could sneak into his hotel room where his mother surely was to try to do something to three 14 year olds before a panel, instead of just going to the panel and trying to chase skirts when no one would be looking for him.

Miller's version of the story is the accurate one: Vic was late for a panel with Kyle Herbert and was quickly found, blockaded by fangirls in the hallway. Vic being late for a panel and found with fangirls + having fangirls in his hotel room later that night were combined and context stripped to create this fake story.

By the way, Vic also could not possibly have stalked Mari Ijima at Tekko 2007. Mari is perfectly comfortable sitting close to Vic on the Sunday Macross panel, and Sunday wasn't a complete day. Vic would not have had time to try to stalk her. His mother was also present on Friday and Saturday.

Case closed. It's fiction.

The FMA panel was 10:30 AM. (The photo says 9:30, but the description says 'around 10:30'. Likely, it's set for a different timezone or not set up for saving's time) Most likely the other camera was 12 hours off, meaning that it thought it was 10:30PM the previous day.

Vic appears to have gone to Mari Ijima's concert in 2007. That photo is taken about 8PM, Indicated here. This girl left her room at about 8PM and then encountered Vic near the Mari Ijima concert shortly after leaving her room.

The girl is part of the hotel room signing, which several different photographs try and fail to nail down with incorrect timeframes. Panels usually run for an hour, which means the FMA panel likely ran from 10AM to 11AM. The signing happens during the daylight; no photos show sunset or darkened sky. Sunset was 7:38PM. Soldier A went back to her room and stayed there from 6 to 8. At that point she had smudged and faded her makeup, meaning that the signing event had to have taken place before 6PM. Here is a picture of the line. The comments mention that this signing is scheduled, because at least two of them arrive 5+ minutes early for it.

Miller says that Vic and the others have some kind of panel 'in the afternoon', not the evening. Evening is usually considered to be 5PM. That means the childrens' panel that Vic participates in is likely to happen between the hours of 1PM and 4PM. Whitney claims that Vic starts his signing shortly after the FMA panel. The signing apparently happens at the hotel next to the expo mart.

If the FMA panel ended at 11AM, it's not unreasonable to assume that Vic started signing at around 11:30AM. A five hour signing session would end at 4:30PM. A three hour one would leave him at 2:30PM. At least one photograph has a timestamp of 2:18 with a line still present, but it says 'AM' instead of 'PM', so it's uncertain how close it is to accurate.

Vic is late for the children's panel because fangirls have stopped him in the hallway on his way from the autograph signing to the panel. It might be in the Expo Mart or it might be in the hotel, doesn't really matter. He then has a panel in children's programming that would also likely last an hour. Kyle Herbert is there with him.

That means he is finished with the panel in children's programming anywhere from 3:30 assuming a very short signing to 5:30 assuming a more regular signing length. The next confirmed sighting of him is around 8PM outside of Mari Ijima's concert. The Risembool meeting likely happens after the concert, which would put it around 10PM.

The signing had to be before the children's panel, as even the earliest the panel could have started would have left Vic signing from 2PM onward, meaning he would sign into sunset (and if the signing started any later than 2PM, he wouldn't be able to bump into Soldier A at 8PM). Thus, Vic has anywhere from 2.5 to 4.5 hours after the panel until Mari Ijima's concert where he is spotted. As it happens, someone bumps into Vic during the daylight when he's going to eat. The lighting is wonky in this photograph, but it's possible that the reason it's somewhat darker is because the day is getting late here. Most likely this is post-children's panel (it looks like he probably didn't have time to squeeze in food between FMA panel, signing, and the children's panel). That means he's likely tied up eating for 1-2 hours after the panel.

SO. We can add up to two hours more after his panel when his actions would be tracked well enough that we can assume he has no time to try to kidnap little girls. Thus, he won't have any free time to wander around until at least 5-ish, on the late end of the spectrum, he won't be wandering the con like a rogue agent until 7-ish, which gives him one whole hour before he is tracked.
