I am simply shocked at the lack of a thread on this little gem.

For those who don't know, the founders of the website have managed to swindle hundreds of thousands of dollars from donors (Paul Elam at some point bragged about a donor giving up $800 worth of unemployment for the website). This wouldn't be so bad if not for the lack of transparency (Elam previously criticized Janet Bloomfield for a lack of transparency, but has yet to let people know where donation money actually goes towards).

I will provide links later to Elam apparently receiving threats from feminist terrorists during the Detroit conference saga.

Any thoughts?

Well, A Voice For Men noticed that this legitimate organization had neglected to secure the WhiteRibbon.org url, so they set up a phony webpage claiming, "There is only one White Ribbon Initiative that seeks evidence based, scientific and realistic ways to help reduce the problem of violence in the home. You are at the source of that initiative right now. Please help us out by donating and by passing this website on at social media sites and your own blogs."

Clicking on the donations button took one to the "A Voice For Men" donation page.

When called out on this deceptive behavior, they removed the donation button - but accused the actual White Ribbon organization of being the real fraud.

That is, A Voice For Men is basically an effort by the world's dumbest scammer to scam people who are even dumber than himself. As such, it is a delight.

Paul Elam is transparently funding his personal lifestyle off of the outrage of others. He pockets all donations to his website and asks the contributors to trust that he's using the money wisely. He's boasted about taking money from people in serious financial hardship, and using it to pay his own personal bills - his fundraising pitches are not only disgusting, but also very dumb.

The gaps between what Elam purports to be - the leader of a political movement - what he believes himself to be - a financial sleight-of-hand mastermind - and what he is - a ridiculous moron - are a reliable source of Schadenfreude. Like he's constantly getting ripped apart in debates. And we haven't even scratched the surface of the ancillary AVFM characters, like JudgyBitch the world's worst PR lady, or John "The Other" Hembling.

I think this thread has potential, but I wouldn't be heartbroken if the discussion were folded into a broader manosphere thread. Heck, maybe we'll finally have one where actual content outweighs the weepy feels.
