Action movie recommendations -

I've been in the mood for a good new action movie. But haven't been able to find any good ones. You guys seen any good action flicks lately?

District 9 is dope if you haven't seen it, takes a while for the action to kick in though.

Both Dredd and Snowpiercer are really fucking good. Haven't seen anything decent in the last couple of years, but both of those were sleeper hits when they came out so you might have missed one of them.

Upgrade was a pretty cool movie. I certainly wasn't expecting its kind today.

I have seen snowpiercer in the recommended feed, but never really heard anything about it. This now explains why. I'll check them out.

Watch the Raid: Redemption then check out The Raid 2. Both are amazing action films with brutal choreography.

Both of the Equalizers were good. If you like war films there's stuff like Hamburger Hill, We Were Soldiers, Zulu. I don't know what you've seen, my man.

Shoot 'em Up. A criminally underrated action flick where some guy has to protect a baby from an army of gunmen. He kills three people with a carrot, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Hong Kong and Chinese action flicks are an entirely different breed than their American counterparts. J-Action is pretty good as well.

Drive (1997 movie with Mark Dacascos. There's an action scene almost every 10 min. or so, which is impressive given its budget).

Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior is a damn fine time. It's badass action from beginning to end. If you're going to see any Mad Max movies, make it The Road Warrior.

John Wick, Blade 1 and 2, Platoon (more war than action), Rambo 4, The mummy 1 and 2, Alien 2, Terminator 2 (I always thought the second one was better than the first), Revenge (Hilarious canacuck action/horror movie), Leon the professional and Pulp Fiction.

First blood is a really good action film, unconventional when you consider only 1 person dies and its an accident.
