Well from his perspective, he's right, and he's not going to fall back on his principles. I feel the same if people bother me about the legality of lolicon/shotacon. The distinction, I feel, is one is a technical defense of drawings and the risks litigation bring and the his stance is about blowing dogs being ethical.

The thing with blowing dogs is that you're performing an actual sex act on an animal. Lolicon and shotacon, no matter how obscene or disgusting they may be, are drawings. There's no action being taken upon a victim because it's basically an idea, the same way a drawing of somebody blowing a dog wouldn't be animal abuse.

Maybe I just don't get it because I feel like First Amendment protections are way more important than the ability to legally suck a dog's dick. Especially if Adum is claiming that he doesn't want to suck dog dick.

Consider me befuddled.

I need to go off on this now because there is only so much I can put up with regarding what this guy is saying.
First off, him trying to compare his opinion on zoophilia as similar to matters like drugs, assisted suicide, etc. is a false equivalence. Hell, the main point of contention regarding what he's saying has everything to do with the glaring differences between human beings and other animals. All those other topics are in the realm of human beings and their welfare. The moment it becomes a discussion regarding interactions between people and animals, it also becomes foolish to impose a similar ethical standard because it's no longer dealing purely with the human perspective.
Another thing is his constant deflections and framing of the narrative. I won't deny that this topic is a very emotional one for many people (which is pretty clear if you've even casually followed the zoosadism debacle), but the way he tries to frame criticisms of his opinion as grounded in emotional outrage and that he is a paragon of reason and logic really grates on me. It is reminiscent of when Destiny tried to bring up the concept of "ethical CP" to imply there being some moral grey area in having sex with children. I personally believe that for issues regarding animals and children, there is a decisive line that has to be drawn as it deals with very sensitive, dependent, and exploitable individuals who could suffer irreversible consequences due to being abused. I'm of the mind that it's better to be safe than sorry in that case. Calling people SJWs because they think fucking animals is immoral does not make you look intellectually sophisticated, Adam.
Lastly, there is his fixation on making it clear that he is not a zoophile, but does not seem to think that zoophilic behavior or bestiality is immoral. Now, I couldn't care less if he wants Tony the Tiger to frost his flakes. Yeah, I'll mock him for being public about something no one needs to hear about, but that's not what most people are actually taking umbrage with him, or zoo-tolerant furries in general when it comes to this matter; it has everything to do with trying to downplay the egregiousness of bestiality in any degree. People could show this man study after study that highlights the increased risk of injury and disease that comes with sexual contact between humans and animals, and he would continue to ignore it outright because at that point, it's no longer a matter of "moral philosophy," it's now a matter of facts and the moral implications of those facts.

Now, I would go further with this rambling but it's hard to organize thoughts on the phone. But please, Adam, by all means.

This seems like a situation flipped on its head. Like it's Adam who thinks we're the unreasonable and weird people. WE'RE the ones who have the duty to convince others why sex with animals is wrong when his default and natural thinking is sex with animals is perfectly okay and if he makes a good enough argument it will sway normal, ignorant people to change their mind. He doesnt get that the majority of people have a gut instint of repulsion to it and he doesn't seem to have that natural instinct. And yes, I say natural instinct because this is a weird thing Adam seems to exhibit. Just a matter of fact attitude toward the issue when a normal person would be passionately repulsed and confused by this.

These people all come from a place where they're no longer seeing themselves as the outsiders, but seeing US as outsiders. And I'm only starting to believe this because, like Null said, this is just such a strange hill for him to die on. It's on the level of trying to argue that sex with kids is good, because no matter how many good points you may have (even then there are none) people will never look at pedophilia as a good/normal thing. It's just THAT repulsive and strange to the normal healthy thinking human.
