Holy fuck, a 6 part review
It’s concerning how obsessive and overly detailed he is with TLK 2019 in particular. He’s stressing himself out so much for no reason over some shit lazy Disney nostalgia bait, I get he wants to include all his criticisms but at a certain point it’s like dude you’ve been working on this for almost a year. There’s only so many times you can go over one syllable in a song and describe how terrible it is because to a casual viewer they’ll probably think it’s weird to even care so much and it looks a bit pathetic. This is coming from a longtime fan too, I just don’t see why these YouTubers torture themselves and act like they have such a stressful life picking apart one scene of a children’s movie for hours.
I don't care how long it is as long as it's funny, which the Kimba vid was at times. So hopefully this autistic sperg brings in some laughs when it comes to shitting on Beyonce or Jon Favreau.
I usually don’t mind his videos being incredibly long nor broken up into separate parts. The Kimba video for example, despite being well over two hours long, managed to condense the entirety of Kimba's catalogue of shows and films, dispelled many of the lies made about The Lion King ripping it off, and still managed to have an occasional joke made to keep things entertaining. The Lion King 2019 review, however, has me feeling as though there's going to be far less lighthearted humor involved, and will instead involve a lot of bitterness toward Disney. Keep in mind that practically all of his past YMS reviews aren't meant to be taken too seriously, and are mostly meant to poke fun of a film or series for its many flaws. For this one, it’s a 6 part review that's taken well over a year to make, is overly critical of a clearly overrated film, and will likely still keep viewers waiting a while between each part's upload. I can't say that I'm really looking forward to any of this.Tbh Even though I have zero interest in the live action Lion King, I'd rather watch it or any of the countless LK bootlegs over a 6 part review. I really don't understand these long-format reviews that go on longer than whatever film they're talking about.
