I think it would be pretty awesome if there was an index that corresponds to the random.txt funciton on the site, that would allow you to see the context of the random quote. Like a little wikipedia reference number. Obviously there's a massive amount of random quotes so it would be very difficult. if this idea is stupid, than maybe have a completely separate context wiki that doesn't actually change anything about the random.txt popup.

This has been suggested in the past. The point of the joke is that they are random and without context.

usually they're not too hard to find if you just search for them.
