These ideas are good, but not when naively applying them to barbarians who hold them in absolute and murderous contempt who just view them as weakness to be taken advantage of. It's like trying to appeal to Hitler's love of the rule of law.Several times people have advocated for separating migrants on the basis of religion/ethnicity (as in, the Muslims get one center and the non-Muslims get another), but the suggestion has always been shut down because it goes against European principles of egalitarianism and equality.
We know that, but European officials (especially German ones) still want to pretend that all cultures uphold the same morals. Being forced to segregate migrants on the basis of religion would be acknowledging that these people do not share our Western values of egalitarianism. These ideas are good, but not when naively applying them to barbarians who hold them in absolute and murderous contempt who just view them as weakness to be taken advantage of. It's like trying to appeal to Hitler's love of the rule of law.
This is exactly why no one else with a working brain wants to take in male refugees from North Africa. None of the leaders in the Euro zone want to admit they fucked up, and their populace doesn't want to see mass rape as we had in Cologne last year. I can guarantee that Germany and the rest of Europe being honest about the problem would effectively halt immigration....officials aren't interested in setting up safe spaces for women because that would be acknowledging that many of the male migrants are abusers. They want to pretend that everything's fine instead of protecting vulnerable women and children.
I've read the verse. He's just exercising his protected religious beliefs.
"Their real wish is to see that you become a disbeliever, as they themselves have disbelieved, so that you may become exactly like them. So you should not take friends from their ranks unless they immigrate in the way of Allah; and if they do not, seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and do not take any of them as protectors or helpers."
