I'm not even sure where to put this but I am legitimately fascinated.
TL;DW What we know as Native Americans today were actually slaves from all over Asia brought by the Spanish to the Americas. Black African(I make this distinction because there seems to be some solidarity with other dark skinned peoples around the world) people are the original inhabitants and the darker skinned lower castes brought over by the Spaniards which apparently intermixed.
The lighter skinned peoples such as the Chinese and Koreans worked together with the various colonisers which is why they were eventually given "special status" as "Native Americans" with blacks being "reclassified" as African slaves. Basically Native Americans are just Asian collaborators.
This is all aparently sourced from a book called 'Asian Slaves in Colonial Mexico' by Tatiana Seijas with Olmec heads also being given as supporting evidence.
I haven't had time to listen to the whole thing yet but it's kinda neat. I always thought the Maroons integrating with the Seminole and probably other tribes was pretty neat. This is obviously ridiculous but it's something I've never come across before so I thought I'd pop it here.

Sure he's something of a relic these days but like the Back To The Future DeLorean, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Kruger, Johnny 5, Prince, Michael Jackson, cheers, and so on. T's an icon that defined an era. He started out as a bodygaurd for the likes of Steve McQueen, and Muhammad Ali. He's a black man who understood that you don't over come racism by playing the victim, you buckle down and toughen up to face it.
He stopped wearing the gold around 2005 after doing volunteer work in New Orleans and it just didn't feel right to have all that gold on while everyone was suffering in poverty, regardless of race.
He was even there when Nancy Regan died and had good things to say about her in a eulogy, say what you want about the Reagans for good and bad, but everyday it feels more and more like ole Ronny was the last real American president.
He's not a conservatives or progressive by any means. He just wants to do the right thing and set a good example so that others will too

I'd like to give a shout out to the "House Slaves" during slavery days
basically they were any Negros who were so light skinned and well behaved. They could almost pass for being white. These days they'd be your "Steve urkel" types and "black nerds" Non threatening and light skinned and or glasses wearing black men who are courteous, polite and so friendly you'd swear he was a Caucasian if not for his sun kissed tone.
