While the continent of Africa may be a massive dumpster fire between all the poverty and genocide, the world's second largest landmass has given us some of the finest pieces of so bad they are funny films ever. In this thread I say we talk about those films

EDIT: holy shit how could I forget the trailer to 2016

The only African movie I saw was an old ass one called Yaaba, about a pair of brother and sister and their unlikely friendship with an old woman who has been driven out of their village because she was said to be a witch. It is a very beautiful and heart-warming film. Youtube has it though I don't think it comes with the original subtitles.

This looks like it was made with more than a hd hand held porn cam and ANUS laptop. Quality too good for this thread.

This is one case where the reboot is definitely better than the original. Also, I'm going to learn Twi now.

No, this movie isn't good. In fact, it fails in almost every aspect it could. But I believe this is one of the most pure, untampered-with pieces of cinema ever, exemplifying why we love movies and why other people make movies. They didn't make this film for money, they made it because they wanted to make it, and you really can't say that about most triple A Hollywood movies nowadays. You can tell that everyone involved was having a great time, especially considering the horrible conditions they worked in. The director, Nabwana IGG, sold everything he owned to buy his camera. pinoy network says that this is the definition of a passion project, working through poverty and civil unrest simply to entertain, and entertain this film does. Because of these reasons, I don't feel confident giving a bad review. This is an excellent remind for fans of cinema what the art form should be, unlike the current state of the American film industry.

Voodoo Terminator?

What's with the English mixed into some of these films? Is it common in every day language or are they just doing the famous quotes like "I'll be back"?
